Barrenjoey Head is the prominent headland at Palm Beach and Sydney’s northernmost point, long valued for its commanding views over Broken Bay and the coast. It is best known for Barrenjoey Lighthouse, built in 1881 from sandstone quarried on site, with the original keepers’ cottages and oil room still forming part of its heritage character.
