Boomerang Beach lies on Worimi Country near Booti Booti National Park, an area with thousands of years of Aboriginal occupation evidenced by artefact scatters, stone-working sites and shell middens. Historical aerial photographs show Boomerang Beach was still largely undeveloped in 1937 and 1956.
